Not Feeling It

I'm looking over 2024, the second year of my second Saturn return, and I have to admit, I ain't feeling it. Not one bit. The ground under our feet seems more uncertain than ever and hope is hard to find.
When I take the dog out during these cold winter nights and see Orion dominating the night sky with his faithful dog Sirius at his heels, I know that I don't want to hunt or war. And all Shiba wants to do is hurry up and get finished so she can run back inside and curl up on one of her many beds. All I want to do is tend to my garden which still has vibrant green (spicy) arugula running wild surrounded by shoots of garlic busy doing their winter growing. I just want to worry over my struggling kale.
But in a world that doesn't value my Blackness, womaness or singleness, I have to gear up for the fight. Because this year, the fight for our rights to exist in peace will be more intense than it has even been in my lifetime.
As Pluto proceeds to leave Capricorn where he's been since 2008 fucking shit up and rudely reminding us of all our unfinished business (along with his crazy brother Uranus in Taurus), all of our institutions based on oppressive, selfish greed and punitive exploitation have failed. His entrance into Aquarius promises to completely blow them all away, leaving us no choice but to find a new way. And if we try to rebuild using the same toxic individualism and obsessive hoarding as our foundation, Pluto will destroy that too. Pluto is going to force us to use our technology and innovation for the highest good in ways that honor and sustain the earth. Or kill us. Makes no difference to him.
It will do us no good to try to run or hide from the upheaval and turmoil of this year. We only have ourselves to blame. We refused to take the warning signs seriously. Now the only choice we have is to decide are we warriors or are we brigands? Are we on the right side of history or the wrong?
The smart asses among you will say, "Just last week you was talking about the inevitability of winning." Yeah I know. I know we will win. We have to because the only other option is death. But what hell we will have to face to get there and who and what will we lose along the way?
There will be atrocious undertakings this year. That's guaranteed. We need to face it with resolve and determination. And yes, we will win.
